Head of Goddess Ningal

These ancient artifacts are powerful, even with all the wear and tear of the thousands of years they've been around.

This is head of the Goddess Ningal with broken nose, not in a fight but rather because of old age, hehe. The inlaid eyes of shell and lapis lazuli. 2350-2200 BCE, found in Ur. Iraq.

I did this sketch in January 2025, during a snowy holiday season in Ottawa. The sketch was done with blue pen on medium thickness paper and it's 5.5" by 8.5". Shipping is free for North America btw.
